From this local TV spot one might conclude the evidence is in on HBOT for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It's not. But important research is under way, and when Michelle Obama appeared this week in Richmond, Virginia, she was making a case for training medical students how best to treat military veterans with TBI and PTSD. Once again we find the stories depicted here quite moving and the breach in scientific public relations somewhat disconcerting.
