Every July the event draws scores of amateur "bug" hunters and recreational divers to the southern Florida coast. That spells trouble for emergency first responders and the regional Divers Alert Network. St Mary's Medical Center, West Palm Beach, is one of the hyperbaric chambers that stands ready.
